Welcome
The Organizing Committee of the 2012 Andrew Ryan Tournament would like to extend our deep thanks to all participants, sponsors and volunteers. We are pleased to announce that this year we had the highest single team donation in the history of the Tournament. Congratulations to the Caps "C" team who raised and donated $6,003. Honourable mention goes to the CBR "C" team who brought in $3,005 and coming in with the third highest team fundraising was the Caps "D" team at $2,729.
We would also like to thank the teams from Marystown and Grand Falls-Windsor who competed. Thanks for representing our sister associations elsewhere in Newfoundland and we hope to see you back again next year.
The picture at left shows the amount being donated to the Children's Wish Foundation. Attending the presentation is (left to right): Jack Casey (President of the St. John’s Caps Minor Hockey Association), Gerry Curnew (Children’s Wish Foundation); Mike Ryan (Andrew Ryan's dad) and Bob Morgan (Andrew’s last hockey coach and mega supporter of the Tournament). This brings the 9 year total to ~$125,000 donated in Andrew's Memory.
Once again, thanks for making the 9th Annual Andrew Ryan Memorial Peewee Tournament a success and helping the Children's Wish Foundation acheive more wishes for critically ill children in Andrew's memory.
