Aug 27, 2011 - Ottawa's Bytown Blues RFC U16s today defeated two of Ontario's strongest U16 sides with convincing victories over the Balmy Beach RFC and Lindsay RFC in Lindsay, ON.
The games were part of the quarterfinal round of the Ontario Rugby Unions U16 Championship.
Fraser Hill was the Bytown Blues "man of the match" in the club's 24-3 victory over Balmy Beach. Later, John Shaw, (recently returned from captaining Ontario at the National Championships in Calgary) was named the Blues "man of the match in the club's hard fought and well-won victory over a very large - and previously undefeated - Lindsay squad.
The Blues wish to thank the Lindsay Rugby Club for being excellent hosts on the day and congratulate Lindsay for their excellent rugby facility.
