St. Lawrence Cup stays in Syracuse!

Sep 23, 2014 - The Senators squad took the St. Lawrence Cup to the USA last weekend to defend it against the Syracuse Chargers Old Boys. The Ottawa lads were short on numbers, so Syracuse supplied a winger called "Sugar Pants"...

It was an enjoyable, closely-contested game, with both sides trading tries and conversions. It was a 5-point game going into the final quarter, with Syracuse ahead, but one more converted try by the home team sealed victory and saw the cup transfer to their hands (until next year...). Several Senators and some WAGs stayed overnight on Saturday to sample the delights that the city of Syracuse had to offer, but were disappointed to discover the demise of Daisy Dukes and the bucking bronco...the end of an era.
