Sep 15, 2014 - The Senators achieved a stunning victory over a useful Brockville side on Sunday on the main pitch at TERP. This was the first game for the Senators since Saranac Lake on 1st August, but the expected cobwebs were quickly blown away, with 7 tries (and 2 conversions - we won't mention Warren's kicking...) scored versus 5 tries (and 5 conversions) by Brockville - final score Senators 39 - Brockville 35.
Four of the Senators' tries were scored by impressive new recruit from Hull, Bruno Mailhot, Man-of-the-Match and winner of the Shirt-of-Showing-Off (we hope that he plays for us again!). Other tries were scored by Warren Clifford, Colin Currie, and the final, winning try in the dying seconds of the match by Mattie Thorpe, who crashed over in the corner from close range to seal a famous victory!
Next match: Syracuse [away] on Saturday, to defend the St. Lawrence Cup!
