Prez v Capt ends in stalemate

May 24, 2013 - Saturday May 18th saw the annual President's XV v Captain`s XV game played at TERP.

Over 30 Senators across the whole age range 35-80 turned out for the annual precursor to the season proper (despite having played Barrhaven the week before!). President Mark and Captain Warren argued over the starting line-ups for a while, but eventually proceedings got under way in bright sunshine.

Unfortunately, the match report writer went off injured after 5 minutes (during which the Captain's side went one try up), and then got distracted by an odd-shaped cloud formation, so he missed the game, but apparently the final score was 20-20 (or four tries apiece), and all tries on both sides were scored by Warren Clifford...

After post match beverages, 25 players met at the Clocktower pub for a very enjoyable gentleman's dinner and prizes ceremony, which was followed by a mini pub-crawl along Bank/Elgin...subsequent reports indicate that all survived.
