The Senators stylishly managed another victory earlier today, beating a Kingston home side (who had a few Barrhaven Scottish for extra support) 6 tries to 2. The first try for the Senators came after only a few minutes of play when Welshman Mark Patterson scythed over to open the scoring (this makes up for his horrendous blunder over the line towards the end of the match!). Kingston replied almost immediately from the kick-off with a slick bit of handling. Shortly afterwards Rohan Henry finished an impressive Senators backline attack with a try in the left corner. Further tries were racked up by Warren Clifford (twice), Nik Hazledine, and Scott McKenzie. Scott was deservedly awarded the Man-of-the-Match by Kingston for his try and the many bull-like charges up the field. Chris Begley wore the "Shirt of Shame" for knocking the ball forward after having crossed the opponents' try line after a rapier-like run down the right wing - what a plonker!
Overall, a great day was had by all (apart from Al Rose who busted a rib or two and had to go to hospital in an ambulance...). Get better soon, Al!
We play the KROCS at home next Saturday...
